George Warren White was born on 9th June 1910 in Soham (Newmarket Q3-1910 3B:445), baptised in Soham on 13th July 1910, son of Warren John and Georgina WHITE (née HARDING) of Speed Lane, Soham.
1911 census...Aged 9 months, he was at Speed Lane, Soham with his father Warren John WHITE [[23] farm labourer, born Soham, and his mother Georgiana [22] born Wicken. He had three younger sisters, Rose Mary [1912] Marian Eliza [1914] and Lily Harriet [1915]. He married Phyllis May CARPENTER (Ely Q2-1930 3B:1341). In the 1939 register George (date of birth recorded as 12-6-19100 was a builder's labourer, with his wife Phyllis M [2-11-1911] at 8 Julius Martin Lane, Soham. There are three closed records. His father [8-5-1887] was a labourer, at No 4 Julius Martin Lane with his mother Georgina (senior) [22-2-1889], Williams' sisters Rita [2-4-1926] later JONES and Jean J. [16-8-1930] later BADCOCK. Also there were James and Marian BLOWER.There are 3 closed records. He was buried in Soham on 26th September 1941. |
